FinalForms offers Pronunciation Guide for Students

Time: 1:00

As an athletic director, have you ever presented an award only to mispronounce a student athlete’s name? Not only can it be embarrassing for you but aggravating for the student and their family.

Don’t you want to do right by your student-athletes? With the FinalForms pronunciation feature, coaches, administrators, event announcers, and news media can all pronounce athletes names without any hesitation.

FEATURE SUMMARY:

Administrators and parents may enter pronunciation notes when entering in the student's name on the Student Profile page.

WHERE DOES IT APPEAR?

If pronunciation notes are entered, the notes will appear on the:

  • Student’s profile page
  • Student’s Name in any mode
  • Full Roster
  • Roster History exports such as Sports, Groups, Activities, and in the Full Student CSV Export

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When creating a student’s profile, you can click ‘add pronunciation guide’ which allows you to input the correct pronunciation. If you’re having trouble, we offer a phonetic cheat sheet as well.

WHO CAN VIEW IT?

This information is available on the student's profile page, in rosters, and at the Athletic Association level.
